I am a registered clinical psychologist and a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). The doctoral thesis researched the psychological adjustment of children with diabetes type one and their mothers. The main finding was a connection between children’s glucose levels and mother’s mental health. Overall training in therapy was psychodynamic and client-centred. For long-term therapy, the style in this practice is relational and existential. Since 2008, my professional experience has been in treating several disorders, including depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, personality, family of origin problems, sleep, postnatal depression, suicidality, self-esteem, addiction, relationship problems and workplace stress. Alongside therapy practice is twelve years’ experience at aged care facilities, counselling those adjusting from a normal independent lifestyle to dependent residential care. My main interest is in depression and anxiety for adults at any age or stage who struggle with sense of self.
